Bleu Cheese Steak for Father’s Day {Monday Meals} - 2013-06-17 15:31:02-04
We celebrated Father’s Day early with Ashley, Jesse & Gentry. Since we had all been at my parent’s farm, we stopped at Brenham on the way home Saturday night. Ashley & Jesse headed to Austin, while Gentry & I followed Steve to Bryan. Hunter is working at Sky Ranch and joined us by phone.
Steve loved our time Saturday night because it was so relaxing.
Although we had a family celebration on Saturday night, I still wanted to do something special for Father’s Day. I decided to try a new recipe for Sunday lunch…in honor of Father’s Day. Steve loves steak, so I adapted a Pioneer Woman recipe to make Bleu Cheese Steak. Both of us remarked how yummy & rich it was.
All I added was a fresh salad. With the sauce being so rich, I thought we’d skip a baked potato. It was just the right amount of food. Hope you enjoy it.
