Learn how to fry a turkey - Thanksgiving recipes. 30 Days of Thanksgiving Activities for Kids from www.HowToHomeschoolMyChild.com

Last Thanksgiving, I pulled out a 20 pound turkey from the freezer so we could fry it with our Char-Broil The Big Easy.  Everything was ready for the table except the turkey.  Steve helped me by frying it.

Today I want to share Steve’s secret turkey recipe – frying a turkey in an “oil-less” fryer.  No more buying 30 gallons of oil to fry a turkey.

Here’s the secret:  Char-Broil – The Big Easy

When Steve asked for a turkey fryer a few years ago, I did some research. I read many reviews of this “fryer” that said people converted from a conventional fryer to the Char-Broil – The Big Easy.  So I asked Steve what he thought. He agreed and we’ve been cooking turkeys & chickens ever since.

Steve took the Char-Broil – The Big Easy to the deer lease and his hunting partners said it was the best chicken they’ve ever eaten.

Now, let me share how to fry a turkey …

Yummy!

We fry the turkey about 20 minutes for each pound. So, this turkey took a little over 3 hours to cook while we were at church.

It was delicious… I love our Char-Broil The Big Easy and so glad we don’t have to get 5 gallons of oil to get a succulent turkey!
